Your Brain Loves To Solve Problems

Do you find yourself worrying about how things will turn out in your mixed faith relationship? It’s completely understandable—your brain loves solving problems! But worry is like handing it a puzzle without all the pieces or a picture of what you’re trying to create. Your brain ends up spinning, working on problems that aren’t even fully formed yet.

When we focus on what should be or what could have been, we risk missing out on what’s actually happening around us. Happiness often lies in letting go of expectations and appreciating the good in the present.

Instead of worrying, give your brain a different challenge. I like to ask myself, What’s going well in my relationships? How can I make things just 1% better? What more can I appreciate about my life right now?

Setting aside worry and focusing on these questions gives our brains a more fulfilling problem to solve, helping us connect with what really matters.
