My Favorite Cake Recipe
My Favorite Chocolate Cake With Mint Frosting Enrobed In Ganache
Cake:
1 Chocolate cake mix
½ cup vegi oil
½ cup water
8 oz sour cream
4 eggs
1 small box of chocolate pudding
(this works with other flavors of cake mixes and puddings)
Bake at 350 into 2 8 inch rounds until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
Frosting:
1 cup butter
4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon mint extract (or other extract for other flavors)
3 tablespoons milk
Mix together
Frost layers, top and outside of cake.
This is also yummy with peanut butter, almond, raspberry, instead of mint frosting
Ganache:
8 oz bittersweet chocolate chips
1 cup heavy cream
1/8 cup corn syrup
Heat cream and corn syrup over medium high heat until it starts to bubble. Pour over chocolate chips and mix. Cool in fridge until desired thickness checking and stirring every 5 minutes. Pour over top of frosted cake.
