Mourning With Those Who Mourn
As a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have made a promise to mourn with those that mourn.
What happens if I don't agree with them?
That doesn't let me off the hook.
When a loved one leaves the church, chances are, it wasn't easy for them and that they are mourning.
I don't need to agree with them to mourn with them.
I can listen to them, empathize with them, and love them (Check out this weeks podcast on listening).
I don't need to fix them, bring them back, or solve anything...I can just mourn with them.
Also, there is another person who may be mourning...YOU.
Are you there to mourn with yourself?
Are you letting yourself feel the emotions that are coming up for you?
Without judging yourself, without comparing yourself to others, without making yourself wrong for how you feel?
Mourning is part of the journey.
It is not fun, but it is necessary.
I am here to mourn with you my friend.
If you want to feel better, you need to get better at feeling.
I would love to be your life coach and show you how.
