Unless Your Husband Is In Diapers, Quit Trying To Change Him.

If I had to choose the best piece of advice I have ever been given I would go with:

Stop expecting people to be different than they are.  Expect people to be how they are.

This doesn't mean I don't make requests and share my opinions, but it does mean  I don't need to be surprised each time my husband does the same things he has done for the past 23 years.

When I expect him to be the way he is, I stop trying to change him and get to love him for the good man he already is.

We spend so much time thinking about how other people should behave, we miss out on who they really are.

We end up  loving a different version of them that doesn't even exist.

I don't know about you, but I have a hard enough time making changes in my own life.

That leads my to another great piece of advice:  unless someone is in diapers, quit trying to change them.

Are you having a hard time changing the people around you?

Instead of making yourself miserable, let's figure out who you want to be and how you want to show up.

That's where I come in my friend.

As your life coach I can help you figure that all out.
