Are Problems A Problem?
My friend Leah Davidson, shared a post on Instagram that I wanted to share with you.
It said, "Why do we think having "problems" is a problem?"
We have this idea that everything should be smooth sailing and when it is not it feels like something has really gone wrong.
Dr. Theodore Isaac Rubin, a psychiatrist said, "The problem is not that there are problems. The problem is expecting otherwise and thinking that having problems is a problem."
There is opposition in all things.
Sometimes life is beautiful, sometimes it is brutal (that is what I call brutiful).
There are times we get along AND there are times we don't.
Part of the time we feel happy, part of the time we feel terrible.
Even Nephi told us he was highly favored of the Lord AND he had seen many afflictions 1 Nephi 1:1.
Life is 50/50.
Does it serve you to think of problems as being a problem?
If not, you have permission to think about them however you want.
