You Are Not Supposed To Be Good At This…YET.

When I was getting trained to be a life coach, I was lovingly told that I wasn't supposed to be good at coaching yet because I had never done it before.

I love this advice.

There are so many situations where it comes in handy.

When my son was learning to play the saxophone, he got discouraged quickly.

It was hard and he wasn't good at it... YET.

I shared that advice with him.

Of course he wasn't good at it, he just started learning.

You are not supposed to be good at something you have never done before.

When you are struggling with all the new things that come up in your mixed faith relationships, I want you to remember it is ok that you don't have it all figured out yet.

I have been in a mixed faith marriage for over 2 decades and there are still "new" things that come up all the time:

conversations we have never had, situations we have never been in, current events that we have never dealt with, etc.

With parenting, it's the same way.

In fact, each new day is just that...NEW!

Give yourself some compassion.

Give yourself some space and grace to grow.

You don't have to have it all figured out yet, I promise.

You have plenty of time.

Let me know when you are ready for help.

I am here, I get it, and I know how to help.
