Every Victim Needs A Villain

When we feel hurt, confused, or even betrayed in a mixed faith relationship, it’s easy to slip into the role of the victim.

But here’s the tricky thing about playing that role: every victim needs a villain.

If we’re honest, we’ve probably all cast our spouse in that role at one point or another.

I know I have!

But the problem with seeing our partner as the “bad guy” is that it makes connection, empathy, and healing so much harder.

This week, I challenge you to notice when you’re slipping into that victim mindset.

Ask yourself, “Am I seeing my partner as a villain in this situation?

How can I see them as a teammate instead?”

Little shifts in perspective can make a huge difference.
