Are You Looking The Right Direction?
Have you ever tried driving while staring into the rearview mirror? It doesn’t take long to realize: you’re headed for a crash.
Driving safely requires us to focus ahead—not just at the next two feet, but at a comfortable distance down the road, toward where we want to go.
The same is true in our mixed faith relationships and the rest of life as well.
Yet how often do we spend our time stuck in the past? We replay old conversations, dwell on regrets, and use past experiences as a blueprint for what’s possible in the future.
But here’s the truth: the past is like that rearview mirror—useful for perspective but not for navigation.
What would happen if you shifted your focus forward?
What kind of relationship do you want to build?
How do you want to show up for yourself and your loved ones?
Where do you want to go?
When you trust yourself and look toward your desired destination, you’re far more likely to stay on track.
So this week, I invite you to check your focus. Use the rearview mirror for a quick glance when needed, but keep your eyes on the road ahead.
The future is yours to shape.
With love and forward momentum...
