A Sure Fire Trick For Dealing With Anxiety

I don't know about you, but sometimes I get anxious.

It shows up around my mixed faith relationships and all the other parts of being a human.

Our minds like to spend time in the past and the future.

Anxiety comes from all the what ifs that could happen.

Being present in the here and now in your body can help you navigate anxiety.

One tool that helps ground me in the present is a tool I call 5.4.3.2.1.

5 things I can see. (My laptop, my hands, the rain out my window, my phone, my water bottle)

4 things I can feel. (The heated blanket on my lap, the keyboard, my toes in my shoes, the chair on my back)

3 things I can hear. (The hum of my computer, the rain on my window, me typing)

2 things I can smell. (My laundry detergent, my shampoo)

1 thing I can taste. (The toothpaste I just used. If there is not a smell or taste around me, I can find smells and tastes that I enjoy like some lotion, a Lifesaver, etc.)

5.4.3.2.1 allows me to be in the present moment where everything is most likely just fine.

I just need to remind my brain that everything is ok.

If you need help with this let me know.

I would love to walk you through it.
