The Gift of Allowing Emotion

Feeling frustrated, sad, or even jealous in your mixed faith relationship?

That’s totally normal, not just in mixed faith relationships, but any relationship!

Emotions are part of the human experience, and they’re not “good” or “bad.”

Instead of trying to push those feelings away, what if we just allowed them?

What if we got curious about what they’re trying to tell us?

Sometimes, allowing an emotion to be there without judgment can bring the relief we didn’t know we needed.

This week, try letting yourself feel whatever comes up, without labeling it as “wrong.”

You might be surprised at what unfolds.

As you are getting ready for Christmas, give yourself the gift of letting yourself have whatever emotions are coming up for you.
