How To Take Care Of YOU
Self-care isn’t one-size-fits-all. It can look different for everyone, but here are a few common types:
Physical self-care: This includes things like exercising, eating well, getting enough sleep, getting to your health care appointments, and just generally taking care of your body.
Emotional self-care: This is about processing your emotions in a healthy way. It could mean talking to a therapist or life coach (I know a gal...), journaling, or just checking in with how you’re feeling. It is also about being a dear friend and cheerleader to yourself.
Social self-care: Connecting with people who lift you up is key. Social self-care could be making time for friends or, on the flip side, setting boundaries with people who drain your energy. Sometimes self care is saying no.
Spiritual self-care: Find ways to connect with your Heavenly Parents. Whether it’s through going to the temple, reading a talk that brings you peace, prayer, meditation, or just spending time in nature, spiritual self-care is about finding meaning and peace in your life.
Mental self-care: This is about keeping your mind sharp and calm. It might involve learning something new, reading, or practicing mindfulness.
Challenge for this today. Pick one of these things and take care of you today.
Self care isn't selfish.
It helps you to show up as your best self.
